As you can see, automated site builders deliver overwhelming complexity and overpromise for very small operations. The temptation is to keep it because it looks and sounds good. The other temptation is to delete it all and start again. And you can try to tweak every block to fit your scale but that ends up feeling overwhelming or dishonest. I prefer a start-from-scratch approach, crafting one page at a time and bolting on the shopping section and one form at a time as needed. That said, if you want to use the robust buildout from the generator I can accomodate that if you are willing and confident to participate in defining your business for me and/or assist directly in writing the prose. If you wanted to DIY everything you wouldn’t be shopping for a website design provider and if I could handle the presentation of your company without your input I would be your employee, not a contractor. One approach I recommend is to use my Easy Em site design and limit the Ecwid/Wordpress portion to the contact form and shopping pages.
